Feng
Shui in the Garden
Feng Shui principles can also be used to harmonize and enrich your garden
or landscape design and to create sacred spaces that help you reconnect
to and draw inspiration from nature. Garden consultations include information
on types and colors of plants and flowers, the design of pathways, the
use of water features, wind chimes, and statuary to create sacred space.
These principles work well in both large and small outdoor spaces, including
patio gardens.
For smaller spaces, I combine Feng Shui with the principles of tsuboniwa,
which means "small garden." Tsuboniwa is a Japanese tradition
of small gardens that can be made in spaces of one tsubo, or 36 square
feet.
